Sail the Bay of Kotor on a century-old Bokel boat
Routes
Boat rides are available all over the bay and beyond. The classic spots are Blue Cave, Mamula Island, the abandoned tunnels dug for Yugoslav submarines, Gospa od Škrpjela Island (Our Lady of the Rocks), and the towns of Kotor, Tivat, Herceg Novi and Forte Roze. The bay also boasts extraordinary and largely undiscovered destinations including secret beaches, a desert island home to an abandoned hotel, and bright pink sunsets at Lovćen.
This classic wooden longboat was built by Bokel craftsmen over a century ago. Restored and rebuilt in 2008 by master craftsman Duško Lazarević, it has since been refreshed once again in 2024.

Oak, iroko and teak were used in the construction of one of the few ancient Bokel boats still afloat and delighting visitors to the Bay of Kotor, also known as the Boka.
